EVALUATION
AND FOLLOW-UP
- The minimum mark out of 10 to
qualify for the level’s content is 7.
- The assessments and evaluation should be conclusive, it should be used
constructively and other valuable factors should be considered to help in
student learning.
- For pre-assessment, if a student
gets 7 or more in 10 questions of Level 1, and less than 7 in the other
two level questions, he/she qualifies for Level 1 and can continue with the
content of Level 2. Likewise, the evaluation can be done for other possibilities.
If a student gets 7 or more in all the 3 level questions, he/she can
continue in Level 3 if they are interested (6th
standard or below) and if they are from 7th
standard, they shall be given some other activities from their textbooks
or focus on their academics by themselves with provided support and
guidance. Also, some other courses shall be recommended for them, based on
their interest or need.
- For Inter-Assessment 1, if a
student gets 7 or more in 10 questions of the first 10 topics (Term 1), and
less than 7 in the second 10 topics’ (Term 2) questions, he/she qualifies
what is been learnt in the term and continue to learn the set of topics that is to be
followed in the next term of the existing level. If the student gets less
than 7 in 10 questions of the first 10 topics (Term 1), it should be
considered seriously and the reason should be found, and further valuable
action should be taken for the learning to occur. If a student gets 7 or
more in 10 questions of the first 10 topics (Term 1), as well as the second 10
topics’ (Term 2) questions, he/she can be promoted to the next level and
if they are in Level 3 and from 7th
standard, they shall be given some other activities from their textbooks
or focus on their academics by themselves with provided support and
guidance. Also, some other courses shall be recommended for them, based on
their interest or need.
- For Inter-Assessment 2, if a
student gets 7 or more in 10 questions of the first 10 topics (Term 1), 7 or
more in 10 questions of the second 10 topics (Term 2), and less than 7 in the
third 10 topics’ (Term 3) questions, he/she qualifies what is been learnt
in the first two terms and continue to learn the set of topics that is to
be followed in the next term of the existing level. If the student gets
less than 7 in 10 questions of the first 10 topics (Term 1) or the second 10
topics (Term 2), it should be considered seriously and the reason should
be found, and further valuable action should be taken for the learning to
occur. If a student gets 7 or more in 10 questions of the first 10 topics
(Term 1) and second 10 topics (Term 2), as well as the third 10 topics’ (Term
3) questions, he/she can be promoted to the next level and if they are in
Level 3 and from 7th
standard, they shall be given some activities from their textbooks or
focus on their academics by themselves with provided support and guidance.
Also, some other courses shall be recommended for them, based on their
interest or need.
- For Post- Assessment, if a student
gets 7 or more in 10 questions of the first 10 topics (Term 1), 7 or more in
10 questions of the second 10 topics (Term 2), and 7 or more in 10 questions of the third 10 topics’ (Term 3) questions, he/she qualifies what is been learnt
in the three terms, and can be promoted to the next level in the next
academic year. For them, Pre-assessment need not be conducted. If the
student gets less than 7 in 10 questions of the first 10 topics (Term 1) or
second 10 topics (Term 2) or the third 10 topics (Term 3), it should be
considered seriously and the reason should be found, and further valuable
