L1_S30_Tenses
Tenses are the time of action words, which
are Verbs. Verbs could be in three tenses: past, present, and future.
The past is used to describe things that have
already happened (e.g., earlier in the day, yesterday, last week, three years
ago). Usually ‘ed’ will be added the verb at the end, some verbs change their form, and some verbs remain the same (walked, wrote, cut).
The present tense is used to describe things
that are happening right now, or things that are continuous. Usually the verb
stays as it is (walk, write, cut)
The future tense describes things that are
yet to happen (e.g., later, tomorrow, next week, next year, three years from
now). Usually ‘will’ will be added to the verb in the beginning (will walk,
will write, will cut).
