L1_S28_Question words (Am, is, are)

‘Am', 'are', and 'is' are supporting verbs or linking verbs in the simple present tense. They are used to describe a person or a thing in the present.

They are ‘Be’ form verbs.  

They are also used to form questions and called as question words when used in the beginning of the sentence.

‘Am’ is used in First person singular pronoun .

'Are' is used with the third person plural nouns and pronouns, first person plural pronouns and second person singular or plural pronouns.

'Is' is used with third-person singular nouns and pronouns.

Write some simple sentences (at least 10) about the things or people in your home, by yourself or with the help of someone else. Try to make questions using the ‘Be’ verb for each of the sentences that are written.
