‘Am', 'are', and 'is' are supporting verbs or linking verbs in the simple present tense. They are used to describe a person or a thing
in the present.
They are ‘Be’ form verbs.
They are also used to form questions and called
as question words when used in the beginning of the sentence.
‘Am’ is used in First person singular pronoun .
'Are' is used with the third person plural
nouns and pronouns, first person plural pronouns and second person singular or
plural pronouns.
'Is' is used with third-person singular nouns
and pronouns.
