Conjunctions are used to combine two or more objects, phrases, or clauses. They can also be termed as connectors.

In other words, A conjunction is a word or phrase that connects words, phrases, clauses, and sentences together.

Unless you speak only in simple sentences, you use conjunctions in every sentence.

Activity

1.   Circle the Conjunctions in the given sentences.

2.   Choose the correct conjunction to complete the sentence.

 

Extra Task:

1. Write some simple sentences (at least 10) with conjunctions in them (for example- ‘’He is a good man but not brave.") that you know by yourself or by referring to any book in English. You shall do it with the help of someone if needed.
